Living Rooms & Dining Rooms
Today, many of our Living and Dining rooms are shared space. This is an attractive look when your design is uniform. It is important to treat the shared space as one room. By using the same window coverings in both areas, you connect the two uses. When you remain consistent with your color and style, your room will blend beautifully.
One of the biggest mistakes I see in a shared area is the furniture size. This is why it is important to draw a floor plan before you go shopping for furniture. Your floor plan will tell you what size your furniture ought to be. With furniture sizes in hand, you are sure to buy furniture that fits the space and leaves plenty of room to move about.

This living room and dining room are approachably formal. Because the sofa has a dark pattern, guests feel welcome to sit on it. The candles, silk draperies and warm colors create a feeling of formality.

Customer TESTIMONIAL
"Cindy listened to what we wanted and designed our dining room with grace and functionality. We were thrilled to utilize our Chinese silk screen. Because our screen was too small to be hung on the wall behind the long table, one of our friends came up with a cool plan to visually expand the size and Cindy made it happen. Our dining room is the last thing guests see as they leave our home and we love the fact they can carry that vision home with them. " —The Mehocic's |

George and Denise moved into a lovely new home and needed to modify their furniture to match their new space.
While Contemporary in style, their old dining room table was too sparse for their new dining room. We replaced it with a mahogany dining table that expands to 142”, seating 12 people comfortably. Because their room is long and narrow, the table is left open all the time. It’s a stunning effect.
We added elegance and formality to the room by hanging custom silk draperies in front of the existing shutters. The tall silk tree gradually brings your visual focus down from the tall window, to easily view the antique Chinese screen hanging on the adjoining wall.
A large custom rug was made to go under the table, over the existing marble floor. Custom florals in polished steel containers, along with a steel chandelier complete the accessories for this Contemporary dining room.

Customer TESTIMONIAL
"We thought about putting a window through the wall into the kitchen, but found out it was a load bearing wall. Cindy and Troy got the job done by pulling permits and using a structural engineer to figure the loads. Their care and concern made us feel safe. The window opens up the kitchen more than we dreamed and is our favorite feature in both rooms. " —The Fitzpatricks |

A pass through window from the kitchen to the newly built-in dining room serving cabinet allows Tracy and Kevin to see and speak with their guests as they are preparing the final touches on their meals.
Custom glass art insets were made to carry on the Tuscan grape theme. The doors look as beautiful closed are they do open.
By turning the dining room table lengthwise with the room, and adding another matching chandelier, the table seats 8 with lots of room to move about.
Custom draperies and a large area rug complete this elegant dining room.
