Details matter. My name is Cindy Payne. I am an interior designer who minds the small details.

A professional interior designer can take your ideas and add the finishing touch that brings a room into beauty and balance. A designer can create a lovely environment that has real function.

If you are decorating your vacation home and you live miles away, your designer can handle the job in the manner you would, if you were present. She is a person who is trained and experienced in solving problems. A professional interior designer takes pride in their work, and gets the job done.

My Goal for your Project

My goal is to design your home so that you will breathe a sigh of relief and relax the moment you walk through the door. My desire is for you to walk into your home and feel that the environment expresses who you are. I strive to make your design as functional as it is beautiful. Whether it is a cozy reading chair by a fireplace or a dining room suited to entertain, I can organize and coordinate your project to perfection.

In a commercial environment, function is key. From start to finish, productivity is emphasized in my workplace design. Careful planning can keep an office organized and profitable.

Business

I have been in the design/construction industry for 28 years. I first owned a design business in the St. Louis area for 10 years. (1978 -1988) In 1988, I moved to Southern California and opened Project Design. In 2002, I sold my California design business. My husband and I traveled the US and Western Europe for 15 months before establishing my business here in Las Vegas, NV. I am inspired and ready to take on new Design Challenges with an International perspective.

Education/Achievements

After several years of doing home decorating, I went back to school to study Design and Architecture. I achieved a certificate of Interior Design from Orange, CA. I go back to school continuously to stay abreast of the changes in the construction and design industry.

I am nationally certified through the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ). I am a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). I am a Certified Interior Designer (CID).

I am a Nevada Licensed Contractor.

I love to specify design plans and do project management. I enjoy watching my plans come alive. I enjoy seeing that my clients’ needs are met and expectations are exceeded.

My latest Design achievement was winning an HGTV’s Designers’ Challenge. They invited me to do two shows for them. The second show was filmed in Las Vegas at a 7 acre Horse Ranch. We turned a block wall basement into an Old Western Saloon. I am the chosen designer for this show!

Design Philosophy

Residential: I believe a home should portray the personality and perform the functions of the family that resides there.

Commercial: Safety, Function and Eye appeal.

I take pride in making a home or office into a place that people want to be. It is important to me that the space I design has real function. When I discover how a family or business will use a particular space, I make good decisions on every detail of their project. My clients are very complimentary of my work.
